Send COVID-19 Questionnaire
Available for Kareo Engage subscribers.
Front office staff can send incoming patients a COVID-19 Questionnaire to assess if the patient is at risk. This will help the practice prepare the best course of action prior to the patient's visit.
Once submitted, the COVID-19 form will be ready for review in the patient's document or within a note (similar to reviewing a medical history intake).
Enter COVID-19 HCPCS Codes and CPT Code
CLIA certified labs performing tests on patients to diagnose COVID-19 can use the new HCPCS codes U0001 or U0002 for services. Additionally, CPT code 87635 is available to report and track testing services related to COVID-19. The new codes can be used in a superbill, charge capture, encounter, or procedure macro.
Note: HCPCS and CPT codes should not both be reported on the same claim. Contact the payer(s) directly to determine the appropriate code to be reported and specific guidelines as coding requirements vary by payer.
Order COVID-19 Lab
Providers and clinical assistants can create a lab ordering Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) to test patients presenting symptoms of COVID-19.
Note: If eLab is enabled, the test name in LabSoft may vary. If necessary, contact the lab directly to determine the appropriate test name.
