Kareo Marketing Release Notes November 30, 2017

Same Day Online Appointment Requests Through the Provider Profile

This new enhancement gives providers the option to allow patients to request same day appointments through the online Provider Profile.  Your Provider Profile allows current and new patients to schedule appointments directly, and enabling same day appointment requests is a great way to save additional time for your patients and practice staff.

To take advantage of this feature, navigate to Practice Settings > Provider Profiles. Click Manage next to the Provider Profile, scroll down to the Online Appointment Booking section and click Edit. Then click to select the new checkbox for "Allow Same Day Appointment Requests" and Save Changes. Your appointment availability for the current day will display on your Provider Profile.

Auto Publish Patient Reviews

Managing patient reviews has become easier with a new option to automatically publish positive patient reviews, making review management less cumbersome. With this new enhancement providers can enable Automatic Publishing and set a star threshold (1-5 stars) in which reviews will be published automatically to the Provider Profile without needing review.

Navigate to Practice Settings > Surveys & Reviews to enable Automatic Publishing.

Once turned ON, reviews that receive your selected number of stars or above will automatically be published. You'll still receive a message notification for the new review, and have an opportunity to read the review, or remove the review from your profile if you choose.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue in the Message Center where patient groups would reflect inactive patients as part of the group.
  • Fixed an issue where negative Kareo patient survey reviews were auto-publishing to the Provider Profile. When a patient completes a Kareo survey and marks the overall rating below the minimum star threshold, the review should not automatically publish upon submission. Instead, the review should go to Patient Review Activity marked as 'New' where the provider can review the survey and decide whether to publish the review.
