Kareo Engage Release Notes September 19, 2019

In September 2019, your Kareo Engage account will be upgraded to the latest version.

Message Center: Inbox Subfolders

The Message Center allows users within a practice to communicate with each other and with patients. With so many different types of messages coming through, use the new subfolders to break up your task. By default, the Message Center will open to the Staff folder to view interoffice communication.

Note: This feature is only available to providers who are subscribed to Kareo Engage on the web app. The new subfolders will not be available in the Desktop Application.

  1. Click the envelope icon in right of the top navigation bar. The messaging summary window opens.
  2. Click See All Messages. The Message Center opens.
  3. Click on a tab to see messages in your Inbox:
    1. Staff: Interoffice messages and reports
    2. Patient Portal: Secure messages sent through the patient portal
    3. Patient Replies: Messages sent from the patient responding to emails, surveys, and text
    4. Other: New Appointment request, messages from Kareo Support, announcements, and task follow-ups

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where patients received an error message when scheduling an online appointment 
  • Fixed an issue where the date of birth in the Tentative Appointments were off by one day
  • Fixed an issue where users received an error message when clicking unsubscribe in the patient communication email
