Billing Release Notes November 15, 2018

Kareo continues to enhance the customer experience by releasing new features, making enhancements, squashing bugs, and delivering fresh documentation. Here's an update of the recent product improvements we've made with Kareo Billing, so you can easily stay up to date on what's new!

View Full Claim Rejection Message

Claim rejection messages now displays the full rejection message. This will help billers determine the cause of the rejection.
 
Find the full message in the clearinghouse report, claim transactions history, and proof of timely filing.

Printing Encounter Forms Enhancements

Encounter forms with multiple pages will now collate when printed.

To ensure the pages are collating in sequential order, your printer preferences must be set up properly:

  1. Click Print on the Edit Encounter Form window. The Print dialog window opens.
  2. Click to select "Collate".
  3. Click Preference. The Printing Preferences dialog window opens.

  1. Click to select the sequential collate option.
  2. Click Ok. The Print dialog window opens.
  3. Click Print.

Note: Your printer and preferences dialog window may differ from the images to the right. See your IT Admin for further assistance.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where special characters in the Remarks field prevented secondary UB claims from printing
  • Fixed an issue where customers are receiving duplicate ERAs

A/R Aging by Insurance Field Update

For accurate reporting, the Insurance Company field has been updated on the A/R Aging by Insurance sheet. If a custom sheet was created from the A/R Aging by Insurance, please follow the steps below to update the field.

  1. Open the custom sheet.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Click on Insurance Company to expand the options.
  4. Click Delete to remove the column.

  1. Click Add Column.
  2. Select Dimension from the drop-down.
  3. Search for and select “AR.PlanName”.
  4. Enter a Label (e.g., Insurance Company Plan) for this field.
  5. If necessary, click the bars to move the column.
  6. Click Done.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the secondary balance was showing as both primary and secondary balances on the A/R Aging by Insurance
  • Fixed an issue where arbitrary numbers were populating in the Referring, Supervising, or Scheduling provider field
