Clinical (EHR) Release Notes March 21, 2019

In March 2019, your Kareo Clinical account will be upgraded to the latest version.

New Lab Test and Structured Lab Results

Albumin/Creatinine Ratio, Urine (Mirocalbumin) is now available for lab orders.

Existing lab Comp Metabolic has been renamed to Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP). Quickly find the lab by searching for "CMP".

Any paper orders for the following lab tests will now open a discrete lab results entry form when the user selects Open for an order under Needs Results status.

Add Structured Lab Results

  1. Hover over the Clinical icon and click on Labs/Studies. The Labs/Studies page opens.
  2. Click the Pending tab on the left menu. All labs that require action display.
  3. Click Open on a lab requiring structured lab results. The lab opens.
  4. Enter the results in the entry form.

Clinical Note - Display Vaccine Type

In the Plan section of the note, vaccines has been updated to better reflect combo vaccines.

Notable Bug Fixes

  • Updated Diagnosis Favorites List to support up to 2500 codes
  • Updated printed Quality Report to be more compatible with Covisint registry data input
  • Updated  (VIS) date list to reflect current CDC guidelines
  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to click on the Supervising Provider drop-down in prescriptions
  • Fixed an issue where users received an error message when closing the lab order window in a note
  • Fixed an issue where the patient's date of birth in Medications were off by one day
  • Fixed an issue where providers were unable to click on Validate if the supervising provider was populated
  • Fixed an issue where Firefox users were unable to save New Medications Favorites
