In August 2019, your Kareo Clinical account will be upgraded to the latest version.

Flowsheets: Enhanced Lab Details

In an effort to provide additional context for clinical decision making, providers and clinical assistants can now access supplementary lab details when reviewing a patient's lab results from a flowsheet.

View Lab Details in a Flowsheet

  1. Open the patient's diabetes or hypertension flowsheet.
  2. Click on a lab result value. The lab details pop-up window opens.
  3. Available details pulled from the corresponding lab results: Date/Time, Status, Value, Normal Range, Lab Comments, and Lab.

Medicare Promoting Interoperability (MIPS) Dashboard

Promoting Interoperability focuses on patient engagement and the electronic exchange of health information using certified electronic health record technology (CHERT). With the updated Medicare Promoting Interoperability (MIPS) dashboard, providers can track their progress throughout the year and easily determine what actions are required to meet requirements for 2019.

Navigate the MIPS Dashboard

  1. Hover over the Clinical icon and click on Medicare Promoting Interoperability (MIPS). The Medicare Promoting Interoperability (MIPS) page opens.
  2. Select a Provider to open their dashboard.
  3. The Period is defaulted to the current calendar year. Select a custom date range as needed.
  4. Click Claim Exclusions to apply e-Prescribing, HIE, or Public Health exclusions.
    1. Click Done once all applicable exclusions are selected.
  5. Click Update to refresh the data.
  6. Click on a measure objective to view additional details.

Learn more about exclusions and select the ones that applies to the provider.

Measure by Objective

Additional details includes:

  • Numerator/Denominator
  • Performance Rate
  • Score
  • Click How is my score calculated? to view how the score is tabulated
  • View patients under Denominator, Numerator, and the Gap List
  • Click Tell me how I can improve to learn more about the Promoting Interoperability measures and how to improve the score in Kareo

General Improvement

  • By the end of August 2019, providers can create an Acupuncture Initial Visit, Acupuncture Follow Up, or Acupuncture Reassessment note.
  • The following Acupuncture templates will be available:
    • Acupuncture
    • Acupuncture OM
    • Acupuncture OM Follow Up

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to administer new vaccines unless the VIS date was populated
  • Fixed an issue where the text on a printed clinical note was overlapping with the header
  • Fixed an issue where users received an error message when accessing a change request
