Flowsheets: Enhanced Lab Results
In an effort to provide additional context for clinical decision making, providers and clinical assistants can now the access lab orders from a flowsheet.
View Lab Order from Flowsheet
- Open the patient's flowsheet.
- Click on a lab result value. The lab details pop-up window opens.
- Click Open Order. A new browser tab opens to the associated lab order.

New Flowsheet: Adult Preventative Care
With Kareo’s new Adult Preventative Care flowsheet, providers and clinical assistants can easily review a patient's vitals, labs and screenings related to a preventative care visit.
Data in the flowsheets are populated from recorded vitals, discrete paper lab results, eLab results, and imaging/study results.

Access Flowsheet
- Search for and open a patient facesheet.
- Click Flowsheets. The Flowsheets page opens.
- Click the Flowsheet drop-down arrow and select Adult Preventative Care.
- Available observations
- Vitals
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
- Lipid Panel
- Available screenings
- Pap Smear
- Mammogram
- DEXA scan

Build-Your-Own Flowsheet with Preventative Care Screenings
Kareo's Build-Your-Own Flowsheets now allows providers to review a combination of pertinent patient vitals, lab results, and preventative care screenings. Build a new flowsheet or edit an existing flowsheet to include the last time a patient's DEXA Scan, Mammogram, or Pap Smear screening was completed.

Create Flowsheet
- Hover over the User icon and click on Practice Settings. The Practice Settings page opens.
- Click Clinical, then click Flowsheets. The Flowsheets page opens.
- Click Create. The Create Flowsheet pop-up window opens.
- Build the flowsheet:
- Enter a Name.
- On the right, select Screenings from Available Categories.
- To add items, select an item on the right and click the left arrow.
- To remove items, select an item on the left and click the right arrow.
- To reorder items, select the item on the left and click the up or down arrow.
- Click Save when finished. The flowsheet is saved under Custom Flowsheets.

View Screenings
- The newly built flowsheet can be viewed in the patient's chart or from a note.
- View screening results:
- A check mark icon indicates a screening was completed.
- Click on the check mark icon to access supplementary screening details.
- Under the Today column, view how long it has been since the last screening was completed.
