The Emergency Access feature allows users of the practice to request admin permissions in the event of an emergency. To use this feature, a System Administrator must first grant access in the user's account settings.

Access Emergency Access Hover over the User icon and click on Practice Settings. The Practice Settings page opens. Click Emergency Access. The Emergency Access page opens. Note: If this option is not available, a System Administrator has not granted emergency access for the user.
Request Emergency Access Click Request Emergency Access. The Request Emergency Access pop-up window opens. Enter a Reason for the request, which will be stored in the Audit Log. Click Get Credentials. The Emergency Access credentials displays.
Click Log into to User Management. The Emergency Account page opens in a new browser.
Enter Username and Password from the Request Emergency Access pop-up window. Click Login. The User Management page opens.
Grant Permissions The User Management Page lists individuals who already have the System Administrator role and allows additional users to be granted System Administrator permissions. Click to select user(s) to grant access. Click Save Changes. The confirmation pop-up window opens. Click Save Changes. The selected user(s) now has the System Administrator role. Once saved, the user(s) needs to log out of Kareo and log back in for the changes to take effect.
