Set Appointment Confirmation Messages

Appointment Confirmation Messages are part of the Patient Communications function and can be set to automatically email patients when an appointment is scheduled, rescheduled, or canceled.

Note: In order for a patient to receive patient communications:

  • Automated patient communication preferences must be set on the patient's Profile tab of the Demographics page.
  • An email address must be entered on the patient's Profile tab of the Demographics page.

Access Patient Communications

  • Hover over the Platform icon and click on Patient Communications. The Patient Communications page opens.


Set Appointment Confirmation Messages

An Appointment Confirmation Message is emailed to the patient after an appointment is scheduled, rescheduled, or canceled.

  1. Click the Appointment Confirmation Message card under the Before the visit section. The Appointment Confirmation Messages  settings open.
  2. Click email to preview the Appointment Confirmation Message that is sent.
  3. By default, Appointment Confirmation Messages are turned on. Click Turn off to deactivate this message, if desired. Click Turn on to reactivate.
  4. Click X in the upper-right corner or Cancel to close the window.
