Turn on Birthday Emails

Birthday emails are an easy way for providers to engage with patients yearly. The automated birthday feature is a good opportunity to remind patients their provider or the provider's practice is thinking about them. Birthday emails have been shown to drive more visits to a provider practice and increase patient satisfaction.

In order for a patient to receive patient communications:

  • Automated patient communication preferences must be set on the Profile tab of the patient's Demographics page.
  • An email address must be entered on the Profile tab of the patient's Demographics page.

Available for Kareo Engage subscribers.

Access Patient Communications

  1. Hover over the Platform icon and click on Patient Communications. The Patient Communication page opens.

Turn on Birthday Emails

  1. Click the drop-down arrow to select the provider these settings apply to.
  2. Click the Birthday Messages card. The Birthday Messages pop-up window opens.
    • Click email to preview the message.
  3. Click Turn on to activate these messages.
    • To disable this reminder, click Turn off.
