Reply to Message

Kareo provides a messaging system that enables users within a practice to easily and securely send messages to one another, and to receive and reply to Patient Portal messages. This includes messaging between Kareo Clinical (EHR), Kareo Billing, Kareo Managed Billing, and mobile applications. The messaging system allows you to reference patients and add documents. You can also choose to be notified via email every time you are messaged.


Reply to Message

You can access messages from the top right of every window except when working in a Note.

  1. Click the envelope icon in the upper right of the window. The Messages pop-up window opens.
  2. Hover over a message and click reply to respond.
  1. Click to Flag the message as important. Flagged messages display on the Dashboard under Outstanding Items.
  2. Click the file box icon to Archive your message. Messages cannot be deleted, but archiving them removes them from your Inbox and saves them under the Archived tab.
  3. Enter your message.
  4. If desired, click to attach a document (not to exceed 10MB) or reference a patient.
  5. Click Send.
