Integration between Kareo Clinical and Desktop Application (PM)

If you are an integrated Kareo Clinical and Kareo Desktop Application (PM) user, we recommend that you use Kareo Desktop Application primarily for managing your calendar and appointments. Please note the following for what does, and does not, sync between calendars at this time.

Appointments

  • Appointments for provider, staff and equipment will sync between calendars.
  • Only the primary appointment reason entered in the Desktop Application (PM) will sync to Kareo Clinical.
  • Only weekly appointment recurrences can be edited in Clinical. Other recurrence types will show as appointments in Clinical but the recurrence options cannot be edited.
  • The "Reason for Visit" in Clinical has been renamed "Appt Notes." This syncs with the Desktop Application (PM).
  • Status Mapping

Calendar Settings

  • Time zone setting does not sync and must be done manually.
  • Appointment time increments setting does not sync and must be done manually.

Visit Reason

  • Name and duration syncs between calendars.
  • If you delete a visit reason in Kareo Clinical, you must manually delete it in the Desktop Application (PM).
  • Color-coding does not sync.

Rooms & Equipment 

  • Rooms in Kareo Clinical sync with the Scheduling Resources in the Desktop Application (PM) when "Type" is set to "Facility."
  • Equipment in Kareo Clinical  syncs with the Scheduling Resources in the Desktop Application (PM) when "Type" is set to "Equipment."

Office Hours

  • Office hour settings in Kareo Clinical  does not sync with the Desktop Application (PM).

Time Off & Holidays

  • Time off and holiday settings in Kareo Clinical do not sync with the Desktop Application (PM).

Time Blocks

  • Time blocks in the Desktop Application (PM) do not sync with Kareo Clinical .
