Kareo was updated with the new ICD-10 and HCPCS code sets released by CMS, effective April 1, 2023. Visit the CMS website for more information about 2023 ICD-10-CM and HCPCS updates.
For our customers using the Kareo Web Service API, beginning April 1, 2023, we instituted changes pursuant to our API Terms of Use, which must be accepted in order to use the Kareo API. We made these changes to reduce the frequency of requests to specific API endpoints. It will be necessary for you to implement any changes needed to adhere to the frequency guidelines of the API endpoints listed below.
- GetAllpatients: Can be called once every 5 seconds
- GetPatients: Can be called once a second
- GetTransactions: Can be called once a second

Fixed an issue where users experienced latency when attempting to open patient, encounter, and claim records
Fixed an issue where users received an error message when attempting to open Contracts and Fees
Fixed an issue where users received an error message when using the Excel Add-in to run a query for Charges
Fixed an issue where users were unable to access Kareo
