Managed Billing Release Notes August 18, 2016

We are proud to release a newly developed Batch Upload feature for our Kareo Managed Billing customers that enables you to easily upload your billing documents. 

  1. To access the Batch Upload feature, simply click on the Platform icon and select "Documents".
  2. Once you are in the Documents page, you can search for and view previously uploaded documents. 
  3. Once you are in the Documents page, you can search for and view previously uploaded documents.

Once you have clicked the "+Upload Billing Document" button, the batch upload dialog window will appear. You can then select the type of file you want to upload. The available file types are Charges, Payments, A/R, and Copay Log.

Your Charge batch should include:

  • All patient demographics (including copies of patient IDs, insurance cards, authorizations and referrals)All paper superbills or hospital rounds sheets
  • Corresponding appointment or daily copay log

Your Payment batch should include:

  • All paper payment correspondence (EOBs) from insurance and patients
  • Copies of paper checks from insurance payers and patients
  • Payment batch tally for the above items
  • Refund Requests

Your A/R batch should include:

  • Any non-payment claim correspondence from insurance received through the mail
  • Signed insurance settlement agreements
  • Any request for medical record requests pertaining to an open claim

Your Copay batch should include:

  • Daily copay log (for practices submitting electronic charges and demographics)

Once you have selected the type of file you want to upload, simply select a file via the "Add from File" section, and then click on "Upload". Once you click on "Upload", the system will name the document accordingly, and will be available for the Kareo team to access.
