Inactivate Problem

Mark the patient's problem as inactive to indicate the problem is no longer applicable or resolved. If necessary, the inactive problem can be reactivated at a later time.

Note: If the problem was incorrectly added, mark the problem as an error.

Access Patient Problems

  1. Enter the first 2–3 letters of the patient's name or date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy) in the top navigation bar search box.
  2. Click to select the patient from the auto-populated results. The patient's Facesheet page opens.
  3. Click Problems. The Problems page opens.

Inactivate Problem

  1. Click the problem. The Edit Problem pop-up window opens.
  2. Click to select "Inactive".
    • To indicate the problem is resolved, click to select "Resolved".
      Note: This option is only displays after "Inactive" is selected.
  3. Click the calendar icon and select an End Date for the problem.
  4. Enter any applicable Comments.
  5. Click Save when finished. The problem is moved to the Inactive tab.

Reactivate Problem

If necessary, reactivate a problem to indicate the problem is active and not resolved.

  1. Click the Inactive tab. The inactive problems display.
  2. Click the problem. The Edit Problem pop-up window opens.
  3. Click to select "Active".
  4. If applicable, remove the End Date. Select the date and click Delete on the keyboard.
  5. Edit or enter applicable notes about the problem reactivation in Comments.
  6. Click Save when finished. The problem is moved to the Active tab.
