Mark Medication as Error

The Mark a Medication as Error function gives you the ability to mark an active or discontinued medication as an error. Medications marked as an error will not be shown in the Active Medications list or on the Patient Portal, and will not be included in any patient reporting such as a CCDA report.  

Navigate to Patient Chart / Medications

  1. Enter the first 2–3 letters of the patient's name in the top search box.
  2. Click to select the patient from the auto-populated results. The patient's chart / Face Sheet  opens.
  3. Click Medications in the left menu. The Active Medications page displays.

Mark a Medication as an Error

  1. In the Active Medications list, check the box next to the medication and click Mark as Error at the bottom of the window. If the medication has been discontinued, click the Discontinued tab to locate it.
  2. Enter the reason for marking the medication as an error in the Comments box.
  3. Click Mark as Error. The medication is added to the Marked as Error tab of the Medications List.
