Vaccine Settings - Consent and Refusal of Immunizations

Vaccine Settings provides an area to log a patient's refusal of all vaccines, and if desired, to set some general preferences for a patient to receive reminders from the Immunization Registry.
Navigate to Patient Chart / Immunizations - Enter the first 2–3 letters of the patient's name in the top search box.
- Click to select the patient from the auto-populated results. The patient's chart opens.
- Click Immunizations in the left menu. The Immunizations page opens.

Record Refusal of All Vaccines - Click the Vaccine Settings link. The Vaccines Settings page opens.
- Check the "Refuses All Immunizations" box.
- Select the date the refusal is recorded from the Recorded drop-down menu.
- Select the Reason for Refusal.
- Enter notes in the Comments field if desired.
- Click Save.

Set Reminder and Indicate Consent - Click the Vaccine Settings link. The Vaccines Settings page opens.
- Under Immunization Registry Settings, select the type of reminder the patient would like to receive from the Immunization Registry.
- Select "Yes" or "No" for patient consent to share information with the Immunization Registry.
- Select the Effective date the reminders are to start.
- Click Save.
