The fifth year of the Quality Payment Program (QPP) has begun and Kareo is here to help. We’ve created the Quality Payment Program (QPP) 2022 MIPS Action Plan to provide you with the necessary information and steps get you from preparation to data submission. Let’s get started:

Start Here

Check your MIPS participation status by entering your individual NPI at https://qpp.cms.gov/participation-lookup. You could be eligible if you answer yes to all three of the following questions:

  1. Do you invoice $90K or more in Medicare Part B allowed charges?
  2. Do you have more than 200 Medicare Part B patients?
  3. Do you provide more than 200 covered professional services to Medicare Part B beneficiaries?

If you answered yes to all of the questions, and you are one of the clinician types listed here, you may be subject to MIPS. Some eligible clinicians could be eligible for an exception. Find out more here. Clinicians now have the option to submit their MIPS data if they meet one or two, but not all three of the low-volume criteria listed above with the Opt-in option. Clinicians who do not meet any of the low-volume criteria can now volunteer their MIPS data.
