Why Won't the Claim Balance Transfer to the Payer?

If the payer is not listed when you are transferring the balance of a claim:

  1. Find and open the Claim you want to fix.
  2. Double-click on the Case name. This opens the Edit Case window.
  3. Double-click on the payer you wish to transfer the balance to.
  • Verify that the Effective Start and Effective End dates cover the dates of service.
  • Verify the "Active" box is checked.
  1. Click on Save.
