Service Date is invalid.  2400.DTP*472

This rejection indicates that the "From" and "To" Date of Service entered in the encounter are invalid.

If submitting a range of service, the ending Date of Service cannot be before the Beginning Date of Service. 

The Beginning Date of Service cannot be after the Submission Date or before the patient’s date of birth.

 

 

Follow the instructions below to verify the “From” and “To” dates on the encounter:

  1. Click Encounters > Track Claim Status.
  2. Look for and double-click on the encounter that needs correcting.
  3. On the Edit Claim window, double-click on the Encounter number.
  4. Under the Dates section, check the “From Date” and “Through Date”. Verify that the date range for the month, day and year are correct.
  5. Under the Procedures section, check the “From Date” and “To Date” columns for each service line. Verify that the date range for the month, day and year are correct.
  6. Edit the dates as necessary.
  7. Click Save and Rebill.

Then, rebill and resubmit all affected claims.
