Referring Provider NPI is invalid.  2310A.NM1*09

This rejection indicates that the referring provider’s NPI is invalid or not on file with the payer. Please verify that the referring provider NPI included on the claim is valid. 

Follow the instructions below to edit the referring provider NPI:

  1. Click Settings > Other Lists > Find Referring Physicians.
  2. Look for and double-click on the referring provider that needs correcting.
  3. Verify that the Individual NPI number is correct, edit as necessary.
  4. Click Save.

Then, rebill and resubmit all affected claims.
