CLIA Rejections

For a CLIA # to transmit, you must have a couple of things present:

  1. Ensure a CLIA # is added to the service location in Settings > Service Locations
  2. Go to the encounter in question & make sure the service location used has a CLIA #. 
  3. The claim has to be going to Medicare, which means that in Kareo, on the insurance company record, the Insurance Program field must be set to MB for Medicare. 
  4. The last thing that must be confirmed is the TYPE OF SERVICE field on the claim must be Diagnostic Laboratory.
