Rejection Details This is not a rejection message but rather a notification that these claims are pending in Aetna’s system until further documentation from the provider is received. Aetna will notify the provider directly with further details regarding the needed documentation. The provider can also check claim status via the payer’s IVR to have a copy of the report with the requested information faxed to them. |

Resolution Kareo and the clearinghouse cannot contact Aetna on the client's behalf. The provider will have to send the requested documentation with the claim number to Aetna by either mailing it to the claims address or faxing it to 859-455-8650. These pending claims will be flagged as either "Accepted" (pending information from the provider) or "Payer Rejected" depending on how Aetna processes the claim. |
