CLAIM SERVICE LOCATION NPI REQUIRED; PAYER HAS MANDATED USE OF NPI

Rejection Details

This rejection indicates the payer requires an NPI for the Service Location used to bill the claim.

Resolution

Please verify with the payer which NPI they are expecting for the specific Service Location before resubmitting the claim(s). Once the NPI has been obtained, follow the steps below.

Follow the instructions below to edit the service location NPI:

  1. Click Settings > Service Locations. The Find Service Location window opens.
  2. Double-click on the location. The Edit Service Location window opens.
  3. Enter the NPI number.
  4. Click Save

Then, rebill and resubmit all affected claims.
