Reporting: Export Practice Information

If you are closing your practice, cancelling Kareo or would like to manually back up important information from our Kareo Practice Management system, these are the reports that we would suggest you generate.

Patient Demographic Export

  1. Click Reports > Patients > Patient Demographic Export.
  2. Click Customize. Change the Balance drop down to "All Balance" and then click OK.
  3. You will then see “Export Completed.”
  4. Click CSV and save this file to your desktop.

Charges Export

  1. Click Reports > Encounters > Charges Export.
  2. Change the From DOS date to before you started using Kareo and then click Refresh.You will then see “Export Completed.”
  3. Click CSV and save this file to your desktop.

Unpaid Insurance Claims Export

  1. Click Reports > Accounts Receivable > Unpaid Insurance Claims Export.
  2. Click Refresh. You will then see “Unpaid Insurance Claim information is ready for export.” 
  3. Click CSV and save this file to your desktop.

Fee Schedule

You will need to do this for each Standard Fee Schedule and Contract Rate.

  1. Click Settings > Contracts & Fees.
  2. Click on a fee schedule name to open it.
  3. Click Save to Excel.
  4. Name the file and click Save.

A/R Aging

To get more detailed A/R click the blue underlined items for patient names and insurance names. Each report must be exported separately.

  1. Click Reports > Accounts Receivable > A/R Aging.
  2. Click on either Insurance or Patient.
  3. Click Export in the upper right and select CSV File and save the file to your desktop.
