Issue Stripe Refund

Use the Stripe Dashboard to manage refunds for patient payments that were collected using Kareo Patient Payments.


  1. Login into the practice's Stripe Dashboard.
  2. Click Payments. The Payments window opens.




  1. Search for the payment that requires a refund.
  2. Click the ellipsis (...) > Refund charge. The Refund Payment pop-up opens.
  3. Enter the Refund amount and select a Reason from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Refund.


A Refunded link will appear on the payment line.

Depending on the patient's bank, they will see the refund appear within 5-10 business days.

Once completed, in the Desktop Application, issue a refund.
