Workflow

The Workflow is on the upper left of the Practice Home window. It is a visual guide to shortcuts of key processes determined by the type of user currently logged in to help direct their day-to-day tasks. 

Note: Access to the Workflow processes varies based on the additional permissions assigned to the user. 

Medical Office User Workflow

The Medical Office User Workflow provides access to processes such as patients, scheduling appointments, creating and tracking encounters, and generating reports. This Workflow displays for:

  • New users within billing company accounts and accounts created prior to May 9, 2016 as the Medical Office User type is assigned by default. 
  • Web users assigned the System Admin, Provider, Clinical Assistant, or Biller role within accounts created after May 9, 2016.

Business Office User Workflow

The Business Office User Workflow provides access to processes such as patients, encounters, claims, payments, patient statements, and generating reports. This Workflow displays for:

  • Users within billing company accounts and accounts created prior to May 9, 2016 that are assigned the Business Office User type.
  • Web users assigned the Office Staff or Business Manager role within accounts created after May 9, 2016.
